NMIXX—Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin—previews its upcoming album, Fe3O4: Forward with the new song “High Horse,” raising anticipation for the record—that’s been building for a while—through its concept photos, visuals, and tracklist, of which “High Horse” stands out, especially for fans in India.
This pre-release track, off NMIXX’s fourth EP, has been choreographed by popular Indian dancer Paramdeep Singh, who, together with his dancers and assistant choreographers Vikas Pandey and Vikas Sain, has integrated Indian dance forms into the performance for a new visual experience. In context, Singh says, “Fans in India can expect a fresh and exhilarating dance routine that’s a blend of traditional Indian elements and modern K-pop vibes.” “The energy and passion we’ve put into this choreography will captivate audiences both in Korea and around the world,” he adds, expressing his trust in the project.
In a statement, NMIXX shares that Fe3O4: Forward will present a new side of the band—more chill and mature. The members further express excitement about the MMU ship from their “Our New Ship Project: MMU” video, a component of the album’s narrative and theme in which the MMU ship will carry viewers to NMIXX’s universe, the utopic realms of Mixxtopia.NMIXX employs music and how it can impact people to urge you to join this immersive adventure, encouraging each individual to let go of preconceived notions, inhibitions, and challenges—an invitation to move ahead into a future full of possibilities. Through this journey, the group looks forward to portraying a stronger and more dynamic image while solidifying its bond with fans and listeners and empowering them in the process.

“High Horse,” central to the album, mixes pop, jazz, breakbeat, and hip-hop elements for a deeply emotional piece. A beautiful piano ballad and breakbeat rhythms come together, adding to its distinct sound. There’s a desire expressed in the chorus part—to get away from a culture wherein judgments make one feel fragile and unimportant. That said, lyrically, it stirs up a sublime and cinematic ambiance.Being the first Indian choreographer to collaborate with NMIXX, Paramdeep Singh expressed his gratitude for the opportunity. Adding to his anecdotes on working on the song, he says that creating the hook step and the whole thing in just a few days “has been nothing short of amazing!”
Besides “High Horse,” Fe3O4: Forward comprises “Know About Me,” “Slingshot,” “Golden Recipe,” “Papillon,” and “Ocean,” making it a six-song album scheduled for release on March 17.
