Paulina Aguirre (born Quito) is an Ecuadorian singer / songwriter, humanitarian and 2009 Latin Grammy Winner. Paulina has 4 nominations for the Latin Grammy.
In 2007 Paulina released her first solo album titled, “Mujer de Fe” (Woman of Faith), produced by (her husband) Pablo Aguirre. The album features duets with Latin rap artist, Gerardo on “Nada Va a Separarme”; as well as Juan Carlos Rodriguez, (of Tercer Cielo) on “Eres Mi Refugio”. The aforementioned song was chosen as part of “Vive, Lo Mejor de La Música Cristiana”, a compilation album under Mucho Fruto Music and distributed by Fonovisa / Universal Music Latin Entertainment. Mujer de Fe also received the 2007 Latin Grammy Nomination for Best Christian Album.
In 2009 Paulina released her second recording project entitled, “Esperando Tu Voz” (Waiting for Your Voice), produced by Pablo Aguirre. The album features a duet with Armando Manzanero on “Cuando me Vaya de Aquí” and This musical work is charged with a fusion of Pop / Rock, Andean Music, and a 40-piece orchestra. Esperando Tu Voz received the 2009 Latin Grammy for Best Christian Album and the 2009 [Premio Arpa] for best Duet for “Cuando me Vaya de Aqui” (feat. Armando Manzanero).
Paulina was nominated for a Grammy in 2012 for “Rompe el Silencio” an album with social lyrics, which is aligned with the Mujer de Fe foundation. Paulina Aguirre was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2014 for “Best Regional Song” .
As a composer, she has written with Taboo . of the (Black Eyed Peas) “Zumbao”, and “Canoita” .6 She has worked with Mario Domm de Camila in her new production “Frágil” that will be released in October, for various artists, including: Mariachi Divas, Andres García, ect.7
In 2016, Paulina Aguirre made her presentation with the theme of “Canoita” at the Quinta Vergara amphitheater.
