Sushmita Banerjee
She is an evaluated artiste of Doordarshan and is an empanelled craftsman of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Sushmita has resuscitated the Katha Shaili of Kathak under the capable direction of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj. She was included in Swarthmore College educator Pallibi Chakrevorty’s book, “Chimes of Change” for her commitment to Kathak and Indian old style dance.
Sushmita graduated with a four year certification in English writing from Loreto College in Kolkata. She likewise proceeded to accept her graduate degree in English writing from Calcutta University.
Performances
Sushmita has acted in significant celebrations all over India and the world. She was welcomed by UNESCO to introduce her choreographic works in Tokyo in 2007.
