TXT : Suger Rush Ride
On January 27 at 2 p.m. KST, the boy group TXT, released their fifth mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” along with the music video for the title track.
“Sugar Rush Ride” is an alternative pop dance track with funky guitar and catchy whistle sounds. The lyrics tell the story of a boy who falls deep into temptation.
on January 28, “Sugar Rush Ride” had soared to No. 3 on Melon’s Top 100 chart—and all of the B-sides from “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” managed to join it in the top 10. “Devil by the Window” had climbed to No. 6, followed by “Tinnitus” at No. 7, “Farewell, Neverland” at No. 8, and “Happy Fools” (featuring Coi Leray) at No. 9.
With this achievement, TXT has become the very first group in Melon Top 100 history to chart all the songs from one mini album in the top 10 simultaneously.Additionally, TXT is the first fourth-generation boy group ever to enter the top 10 of Melon’s Top 100 at all.
If you thought TXT took the music video production a notch higher with Good Boy Gone Bad, Sugar Rush Ride is creatively experimental and unique. Shot amid nature, the song highlights the charming sides to the boys who do not want to let go of their teenage years. The five members manage to let the choreography stand out with their graceful moves and melodious voices. The lyrics to Sugar Rush Ride are fun and have a very pop vibe to it, which will get you moving almost immediately. “The devil said…gimme gimme more..” will grow on you instantly.
The Name Chapter: Temptation has five songs, including Happy Fools, Tinnitus, Devil By The Window and Farewell, Neverland. Each of the songs highlights the musical range of the members.
TXT made its debut in 2019 and are already one of the most sought-after K-pop groups in the world. They recently performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago. The members mentioned that they want to earn No 1 spot at Billboard charts.
About their growth as artists, Beomgyu said, “If it is possible, we want to climb the Billboard 200 chart and YEONJUN is the EMCEE for a Korean TV show so we want to get the first prize on the show.”
