Dharmendra wants Esha Deol to rethink divorce decision with Bharat Takhtani | – Times of India

Esha Deol announced separation with her husband Bharat Takhtani after 11 years of marriage. They gave a joint statement to Delhi Times which read, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”
While the real reason for divorce is unknown, reports suggested that this is not sudden. Esha and Bharat were considering it for a while and that Hema Malini is in support of her daughter’s decision. However, a latest report in Bollywood Life, says that Esha’s father Dharmendra is not very happy with this. He wants Esha to re-consider her decision. The report quoted a source saying that no parents can be happy seeing their child’s family breaking, and one can understand Dharamji’s pain. While he is not against his daughter’s decision, he is quite upset and wants her to re-think over it.
Dharmendra is close to both Esha and Bharat and he’s upset because he thinks that a divorce affects children the most. The couple has two daughters Radhya and Miraya and they are quite close to their grand parents from both the sides. Dharmendra feels that such decisions affect children badly hence he’s sad and feels that this marriage should be saved if possible.
Esha and Bharat looked like they were happily married and this decision has indeed come as a shock. Amidst all that, an old quote from Esha which she shared in her book has surfaced on the internet. She had spoken about how her husband Bharat was feeling neglected after the birth of their second daughter since all her time was going in writing her book and taking care of two daughters. Esha had instantly realised that and had tried to rectify her mistake. Earlier, in an interview, Esha had also compared Bharat to her father Dharmendra and said that he’s a lot like him and keeps the family together.
