Sikander Kher reveals the REAL reason why Kirron Kher quit acting during her prime days | – Times of India

Sikandar Kher, the son of veteran actors Kirron Kher and Anupam Kher, recently revealed that his mother and actress Kirron Kher left her acting career in her prime to devote time to his upbringing.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Sikander admitted that when he was born, his mother Kirron was a leading lady in the industry. He said she didn’t pursue an acting career to be with her son.And then when he was old enough, she started.
In the same interview, Sikander also spoke about his mother’s advice as he embarked on his acting journey. He mentioned that his mother had provided him reassurance at the start of his acting career, affirming his ability to act.
Elaborating further, the actor added that he only believes what he hears from his mother, who’s very honest with him. Sikander shared, “It’s not like people came up to me and told me, ‘You didn’t make it’. They might have been thinking about it, but nobody said it to me, thankfully. I was chilling. Luckily, people were always nice to me. They’d tell me I’d done well, not that I’d believe them. I only believe what I hear at home, from my mother, who’s very honest with me. She actually told me once that I can act, all I need to do is keep working hard. ‘We would’ve set up a petrol pump for you if you couldn’t act,’ she said.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sikander who made his acting debut in 2008 with the film ‘Woodstock Villa’, will soon be seen in Dev Patel’s Hollywood project, ‘Monkey Man’. The film will also mark the Hollywood debut of Sobhita Dhulipala.
