Directed by the filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the movie has garnered widespread acclaim for its compelling narrative and character portrayals. In a recent interview, Vikrant expressed his admiration for Chopra’s directorial prowess, revealing an incident during filming when he was shot without makeup due to a skin burn sustained during preparations for the role.
In an interview with GQ India, Vikrant Massey said that he spent almost a year and a half preparing for the film, and the three months prior to the shooting were filled with extensive workshops and reading sessions. Recalling an incident during the filming of ’12th Fail’, Vikrant, now a new father, shared how director Vidhu Vinod Chopra responded when he sustained a skin burn. Rather than resorting to makeup to cover the injury, Chopra proposed shooting the scene in its raw form, prioritising realism over cosmetic alterations.
