Talking about the hurdles he encountered while making Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, Randeep expressed his initial plans to release the film on significant dates like August 15 and January 26 but faced delays due to various production issues.

“I first wanted to release this film on August 15 last year. Then, I wanted to release it on January 26. I put all my effort into it but it didn’t happen. The team which was associated with the film didn’t intend to make a good-quality film. They only wanted to make a film. When I came in the capacity of a director, that quality was not going to work. So, there were many problems relating to the film’s production,” he said.
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has been struggling to attract the audiences into theatres since its release. It collected just Rs 11.35 crore in its first week while Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express, which released on the same date, outperformed Randeep’s film by earning Rs 13.50 crore in the first week.
