Did you know Ranveer Singh is a huge fan of the 90s era and the testament of that is an old picture of Ranveer with Akshay Kumar. The actor had visited the sets of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon‘s film ‘Mohra‘ and he was a teenager that time.
Ranveer narrated that incident in a round-table chat with Rajeev Masand which also had Akshay, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor.Ranveer said, “Raveena was wearing a white saree, but Akshay interrupted to correct him: “It was yellow.” Ranveer continued, “I was a boy, and I was ogling at Raveena ji. I was watching her with my eyes wide open, so she was getting a little uncomfortable. She asked one of the security guys to escort me away. For me, that was shattering. I was heartbroken that I was told to leave the set. I am almost in tears, when I feel this man’s hand on my shoulders.”
He further added, “I look back and see the glowing aura of a man, Akshay Kumar who tells me, ‘I like your haircut.’ I was excited! He obviously saw how bad I felt because they asked me to leave and he did. I took a picture with him and I was like, ‘Man, someday I’m going to be like that guy.’”
Later, Varun Dhawan pulled Ranveer’s leg and asked him, ‘Did you get a picture with Raveena?’ Ranveer said ‘no’ and made a face.
With the yellow saree look described by Ranveer, it’s quite evident that the actor was present on the sets of ‘Mohra’ when Akshay and Raveena were shooting for ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani‘. The song continues to be remembered over the years and how!
