After the success of ‘Godzilla Vs Kong‘, which was released in 2021, the makers are back with its grand sequel titled ‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire‘. The iconic clash between two of the biggest monsters in the history of cinema has been one of the most looked forward cinematic experiences in recent times. In the US, the film has kickstarted its box office journey on a good note and is expected to earn between US $ 50 million to US $ 60 million, with another US $ 80 million from international markets.
The response to the film in India as well has begun in a very enthusiastic way. ‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’ has already clocked in more than Rs 5 crore in advance sales. The film has currently sold more than 2, 14, 000 tickets amassing a total sale of Rs 5.14 crore with English 3D and Tamil 3D formats leading from the front contributing Rs 1.79 crore and Rs 88 lakhs respectively, while Hindi 3D and English 3D Imax format are neck to neck with Rs 68 lakhs respectively, reports Sacnilk..
‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’ features Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen. Hall, Henry, and Hottle reprise their roles from the previous installment. The storyline sees Kong discovering more of his kind in the Hollow Earth and joining forces with Godzilla to prevent their oppressive leader and a formidable, climate-altering Titan from wreaking havoc on the surface.
