Bollywood star Deepika Padukone had fans counting down the days to her rumoured appearance at the MET Gala 2024. Reports doing the rounds claimed that the actress was set to debut her baby bump on the iconic stairs as she joined a host of celebs keeping up with the theme – ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion‘.
However, according to the latest updates, those waiting to see DP at the MET, may just have to wait a tad longer as she will likely skip the event owing to her hectic work commitments. The mommy-to-be has been running on a tight schedule. She is currently busy shooting for ‘Singham Again‘ and preparing for the launch of ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘, scheduled for its May 9 release.

“Deepika Padukone has been a regular on the MET Gala Red Carpet. It is only natural for fans to anticipate her appearance at this year’s MET Gala,” a source stated and went on to add, “However, Deepika is in the midst of filming for ‘Singham 3‘ and preparing for the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ both of which coincide with this year’s MET Gala. She will therefore not be attending this year’s event.”

As the MET is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2024, the first Monday of May, it will likely clash with the actress’ promotional schedule for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ that is slated to release on May 9.
