Sharvari Wagh recently wowed audiences with her performance in the horror comedy ‘Munjya.’ She is now looking forward to a promising slate of projects, including the highly anticipated Alpha, where she stars alongside Alia Bhatt. Sharvari has discussed the contrasting preparations she underwent for these two films, each from different corners of Bollywood. She particularly highlighted her approach to immersing herself in her character for the YRF Spy Universe film.
In a recent interview with Elle India, Wagh shared that she was greatly inspired by her roles in Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe and YRF’s Spy Universe, referring to them as the “two big IPs of Bollywood.” She expressed her gratitude to producers Dinesh Vijan and Aditya Chopra for the opportunities they provided her.
She opened up on the preparation for ‘Munjiya’ and ‘Alpha’, she said, “The prep for both movies is absolutely contrasting because, for ‘Munjya,’ I was supposed to get into the skin of the ghost at one point and work on a lot of body language.”
Sharvari called the action in the Spy Universe ‘cool’ and shared that her preparation included intense training and strict diet limitations. She added, “You really, really want to get into the skin of that character and do justice to the action script that has been designed for you.”
Sharvari and Alia recently shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram. Currently in Kashmir for the shoot of ‘Alpha,’ they posted a picture of themselves making a heart with their hands on August 30, 2024.
‘Alpha ‘, directed by Shiv Rawail of The Railway Men fame, was officially announced in July 2024 with a title reveal video. The caption of the post stated, “It’s the time of the #ALPHA.. Girls!” When Sharvari kicked off shooting for the film, she expressed, “Super stoked to start my #Alpha journey today! Trust me… I have manifested this moment, super prepped but can feel the butterflies in my tummy…”
