Incredible Fan Story: Govinda’s Maid Impersonator Spent 20 Days in His Home! | – Times of India

Back in the 90s, Govinda enjoyed massive popularity, so much so that a fan pretended to work as a maid just to stay in his house! Govinda’s wife recently revealed this interesting incident, which went on for 20 days!
Speaking on Timeout With Ankit podcast, Sunita Ahuja revealed, “There was this fan who pretended to be a house help and she stayed with us for around 20-22 days.I thought that she looked like she was from a well off family. I told my mother-in-law that she doesn’t know how to do the dishes or clean the house. Eventually, we got to know she was some minister’s daughter and a Govinda fan.”
Recalling how the fan’s scheme was busted, Sunita added, “I was young at that time but I got suspicious. She used to stay up late and wait for Govinda. I was stunned. Finally, I got a background check for her. She then cried to us and confessed she was Govinda’s fan. Then her father came, and brought four cars with him. I think she worked with us for about 20 days. This is the kind of fan following he had.”
Sunita had once revealed that she wooed Govinda for nearly a year, after which they started dating. She was just 15 when they began dating and Govinda was worried about crossing the ethical boundary. It was only when Sunita turned 18 that the couple decided to get hitched. Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in 1987, they welcomed daughter Tina in 1989 and son Yashvardan in 1997.
