Actress Triptii Dimri experienced a significant turning point in her career with her appearance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s hit film ‘Animal‘. However, she faced some criticism for being part of the movie, and she has now addressed this during a recent chat.
In a conversation at the India Today Mumbai Conclave, she discussed her decision to accept the role in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. Triptii elaborated on her choice to take on the character of Zoya in ‘Animal’. She revealed that she doesn’t enjoy staying in her comfort zone, feeling she had found that space with her previous roles in ‘Bulbbul’ and ‘Qala’, which she loved for their dramatic elements. Despite her passion for drama, Triptii explained that ‘Animal’ presented a new challenge, pushing her to step outside her usual space, which ultimately drew her to the role. “When ‘Animal’ came along, I found it truly challenging,” she added.

Dimri also spoke about the importance of taking on challenging roles as an actor. She shared that every new role brings a mix of fear and excitement, which drives her growth. Reflecting on her reaction when director Sandeep Reddy Vanga described the character of Zoya to her, she noted that Zoya possessed both brave and innocent qualities, which intrigued her. The complexity of such characters, offering something different, excites her the most when choosing roles.
Addressing the criticism her character Zoya faced, Dimri expressed that she would approach the role the same way again. She emphasized that as humans, we all possess different shades—good, bad, and ugly—and films provide a space to explore these complexities. “As humans, we all have different shades—good, bad, and even ugly. I feel that films allow us to explore these sides,” the actress emphasized. Dimri added that acting enables actors to experience a wide range of emotions and perspectives, which she considers a privilege, as it allows them to live multiple experiences within a single lifetime.
She was last seen in the Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Bad Newz‘. Triptii is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘ and ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.
