Scheana Shay Makes Huge Career Announcement Amid ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Reboot News

Scheana Shay shared big news less than two months after the “Vanderpump Rules” reboot was confirmed by Bravo. In January 2025, the veteran reality star posted to Instagram to announce that she has written her memoir, titled “My Good Side.”

“Ahhhhhhh!!! I wrote a book!”  the “Good as Gold” singer told fans on January 24.

“As you all know, one chapter of my life has come to an end, and I’m ready to turn the page and tell my own story,” Shay shared. “You’ve seen one side of me on reality TV, another side through filtered social media content, but MY GOOD SIDE isn’t a highlight reel. It digs deep into the core of who I am—the good, the bad, the messy, along with the missteps and lessons learned along the way.”

“My Good Side” will be released July 22, 2025, and is available for preorder now.

Scheana Shay Said She Has Always Wanted to Write a Book

Shay, 39, starred in the first 11 seasons of “the Bravo reality show”Vanderpump Rules.” She teased details about her book on the January 24 episode of the “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast.  “This is something I’ve literally wanted to do my entire life. Like, it has always been a dream of mine,” she told her fans.

While she noted that her book is “not necessarily a tell-all,” she added, “I do talk about everyone and everything.”

“And it’s really just all sides of me,” Shay said. “The good, the bad, things that you’ve seen on the show with more explanation. And it’s not me trying to be like, ‘I want everyone to love me after this book.’ I would like to be more understood.”

A synopsis from Hatchette Book Group describes the book as “an intimate memoir from ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Scheana Shay, delving into everything from the origin story of the iconic show, to her struggles with fertility and pregnancy loss, and all the hilarious and heart-wrenching moments that were left on the cutting room floor.”

Shay’s book news received a big reaction from fans and friends from the Bravo world.

Former co-star Stassi Schroeder is a three-time New York Times bestselling author. In less than five years, the mom of two shared memories and her parental wisdom in three books: “Next Level Basic,” “Off with My Head,” and “You Can’t Have It All.”

And more than a decade ago, Lisa Vanderpump published an entertaining book titled “Simply Divine.” The book came out in October 2012, just a few months before the “Vanderpump Rules” premiere in early 2013.
