Dancer, choreographer, teacherAUREO FEBRAIO : Dancer | Choreographer | Teacher

Aureos has Brazilian and Spanish origin and was born in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. Her mother is from Rio de Janeiro and her father from Pontevedra.  Because they have Latin blood, they usually tell her that she carries the rhythm inside, she doesn’t know if it is because of that or because it is her passion, although maybe it helps a little. Until recently, every time she was asked when she had started dancing she always answered that it was when she was 16 years old, but she came to realize that this is not completely true. When she was in school she always participated in school dance festivals, and she remembers forming a group with her friends to teach them Batuka at lunchtime. when she was only 8 years old her mom taught her the basics of some Latin dances like salsa and bachata. Therefore, dance has been present in her life since she was very little, even if she was not fully aware.

She says “When I was 13 years old, I started doing synchronized swimming, some say it’s like dancing, only in the water. Without a doubt, for me, it is something very different, although they share the art of expressing themselves using music. I was there for about 3 years, which was unique and wonderful. During that time I learned many things that I could later apply to dance. Above all, what I took with me that helped me the most were wonderful toes and very good elasticity.
and when I was 16 years old, when I left synchronized swimming, I started taking dance classes. The first dance I received classes from was the Brazilian Zouk. A dance that I still love to this day and to which I keep a special affection, perhaps because it was the first. For a year I only took classes in this style, and I also went to my first socials where I also danced Cuban salsa and bachata.”

A year after she started dancing was when she received her first Kizomba class, the style she is currently doing.she started taking classes with her first teacher, who later became her dance partner. They were 4 years dancing together in which she was trained and she learned a lot. When they started out as a dance partner, she would dance and teach Kizomba, and later they opted for Urban Kiz. Shortly before they finished their journey together, she became interested in Lady Style and began to make her way in this world. she received classes with some of the best dancers in the world as her inspiration since she started dancing with Urban Kiz, Carolina Fajardo and also Sara López, Sara Panero, and Carola Tauler among others. she says  It wasn’t an easy trail, but nothing worthwhile is. Another day I will talk a little more about Lady Style and what it represents for me.

When she ended her journey with her first partner, she began to teach alone, something that is not easy for a woman in this world,. They always faced questions or comments that are not made to men, but that is another matter. It was without a doubt one of the periods in which she learned the most, enjoyed it, and still enjoy it today. After about two years of dancing alone, an incredible opportunity arose in her life, that of dancing with Tony Pirata. One of the best and most recognized Kizomba dancers worldwide. It was really something unexpected for her, one of those gifts that life gives you. she had the dream of being an international dancer and she worked hard for it, but it is something very difficult to achieve since there is a lot of competition and it requires a lot of work.

she says dancing with Tony is one of the best things this world has brought me, as well as many friends that I have made thanks to him. I have traveled through different countries, that I never thought I would visit, doing what I love the most, and sharing experiences with incredible people. I have no words to express my gratitude for everything I have experienced so far since we began our journey together.
