Rolling Loud, one of the world’s largest hip-hop festivals, is set to make its India debut.

The two-day event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai, marking the first time the global festival will be held in the country. The India edition aims to bring together both international and homegrown hip-hop artists on a shared platform, with performances scheduled across two stages. Alongside the music, the festival will curate local food and drink vendors, art installations, and experiential activations focused on hip-hop culture. It will be produced in partnership with District by Zomato.

Rolling Loud was founded in 2015 by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif in Miami, Florida. What began as a regional event quickly expanded into a global property, becoming a key player in hip-hop’s live ecosystem. Within five years, the festival had grown to include editions in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. In the years that followed, Rolling Loud expanded internationally to cities including Toronto, Lisbon, Rotterdam, and Bangkok. It has hosted performances by some of the genre’s biggest artists, including Travis Scott, Future, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, and Playboi Carti. In a standout moment at Rolling Loud Pattaya last year, A$AP Rocky set off a frenzy by bringing out rapper Hanumankind for a surprise guest performance.

Beyond live shows, Rolling Loud has also developed into a broader lifestyle brand, with ventures in fashion, media, and digital content, as well as a merchandising arm.

“The hip-hop scene in India has been booming, and bringing the festival to Mumbai felt like the right decision,” said Zingler and Cherif in a joint statement. “We’re excited to create a space where Indian fans can celebrate the artists they love, while also introducing international acts to a new audience.”Rahul Ganjoo, CEO of District by Zomato, said, “For years, we’ve felt the need to bridge India’s sound with the global stage, and this is that moment.”

Full festival details, including the artist lineup and dates, will be announced in the coming weeks.
