Things are about to get a little wilder on Bravo. Denise Richards has a new reality show featuring her daughters with Charlie Sheen. Bravo just dropped the trailer for “Denise Richards and Her Wild Things.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shares daughters Sami Sheen, 20, Lola Sheen, 19, with ex Charlie Sheen. She also has a 13-year-old daughter Eloise Richards with husband Aaron Phyphers. And all of them will be featured on the new show.
In the trailer, Richards says, “I’m an actress, wife, the Hollywood thing and I’m a mom. Being a parent in the public eye and in Hollywood is really hard, especially when your mom and dad are Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen.”
The 53-year-old is moving from one reality show to another, after competing on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” That FOX program plunges celebrity contestants into harsh conditions to face challenges that real United States Special Forces must complete as part of their training.
According to Fox’s synopsis of season three, Richards faced grueling challenges including “a high pressure hostage rescue, a treacherous ladder crossing between steep cliffs nearly 100 ft above the sea, a boat dunk drill where they will be submerged into the frigid ocean and tasked with performing essential survival duties, a surf immersion where they will have to control their panic in an exercise that takes them to the brink of drowning, and much more.”
In an interview with US Weekly, Richards said, “It was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, ever, ever. I’m glad I did it, but I would never do it again.”
Richards’ New Reality Show Features a Different Kind of Challenge
While she may not be performing death-defying challenges in her new show, Richards says shooting a reality series with her kids has its own perils.
In an interview with US Weekly, she says, “It’s a big glimpse into our family… I’m excited, but I’m also like, ‘Oh my gosh, everyone’s gonna see my family. I’m not perfect and they will see I make mistakes. Our family is not perfect by any means, but hopefully they can relate to some things that our family goes through too.”
But the actress stresses she would not have signed on for the series if her daughters weren’t on board. “There were conversations with my older daughters, because I wanted to make sure that that was something that they wanted to do, because they didn’t have to be part of it. It was a process, but they were on board,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘Alright, Let’s do it. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.’”
“Denise Richards and Her Wild Things” premieres March 4 on Bravo.
