Sam Asghari, the ex-husband of pop star Britney Spears, shared thoughts about the singer and his marriage to her in a new interview with Page Six.
Asghari stars on the upcoming show, “The Traitors.” The cast of the show, which airs starting January 9, includes a mixture of former reality television contestants, according to TVGuide.
He told Page Six that being married to Spears prepared him for the show.
“I’ve learned a lot in the past five or six years being exposed to that side of Hollywood. And it’s quite a blessing,” he told Page Six, referring to to the “darker” side.
His marriage to Spears “was a quick crash course in Hollywood and it sort of helped me. I figured it would be a good tool to actually help me in the Traitors game as well,” he told Page Six.

Asghari said problems exist in any industry.
“You have to be careful in every industry,” he told Page Six. “Not just in Hollywood. You have to always be careful and protect yourself and protect the people that you love.”
He supported Spears being freed from a conservatorship. “I think it’s the bare minimum you can do as a partner, to be a backbone to someone and to be their biggest supporter, biggest cheerleader, the biggest…the biggest everything,” he told Page Six.

Although Asghari and Spears got divorced in 2023, he didn’t express any animosity toward her.
“I just wish her the best,” he told Page Six. “I think that the number one factor of a partner is to be there for one another, no matter what.”
He told Page Six that he was “absolutely” in love with Spears and added, “We all go through this life and we go through different chapters and you meet people along the way and they are a big part of your life. You’re just always thankful for every moment that you spent with people in the past.”
For her part, Spears has posted dancing and posing videos on her Instagram page.
She also shared a photo of one of her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Jayden Federline, and wrote, “Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!! He’s mine I hadn’t seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!! I’m in shock !!! He came back and he feels older and smarter than me !!! He’s a man and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”
