Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal have reunited in a recreation of their famous diner scene from “When Harry Met Sally.”
“I can’t believe they let us back in this place,” Crystal says in the commercial for Hellman’s Mayonnaise. It shows the pair sitting in a diner and eating sandwiches.
“When Sally Met Hellmann’s,” the YouTube video is titled. As fans of the movie know, the scene became iconic because Ryan mimicked having an orgasm during it. According to US Weekly, the remake is for a Super Bowl commercial, and it comes more than 30 years after the original scene.
Ryan and Crystal previously teased the remake on their Instagram pages by posting a photo showing them sitting together.

“Why?” Ryan responds when Crystal says he can’t believe they were allowed back in the diner.
“Hello?” he says, indicating that everyone remembers the scene as it’s one of the most famous in movie history.
“Nobody remembers that,” she says. She then puts Hellman’s mayonnaise on her sandwich and starts eating it.
“Something wrong?” asks Crystal.
“Not doing it,”‘ she says. “We can’t have that,” he responds.

In this version of the scene, it’s the mayo on the sandwich that sparks Ryan’s moaning.
“What’s happening? Here we go. Oh boy,” says an embarrassed Crystal.
“Oh my gosh so good,” says Ryan.
As she continues expressing pleasure over the sandwich, people in the diner start looking at her.
“Oh this one’s real. Lunch and a show, huh. How about that,” says Crystal.
“Now that is a sandwich.”
The camera then pans to a major celebrity camo – Sydney Sweeney. “I’ll have what she’s having,” she says.
“I’m competing with a condiment,” sighs Crystal.
Crystal spoke about Ryan to People Magazine in 2023. “We were thrown together by [Reiner and Ephron], chosen to be this couple and you never know — almost 35 years later, we’re still a couple to everybody,” he said.
“As you get further along and new generations see this movie and feel it and watch it over and over again on Valentine’s Day, on New Year’s Eve, whatever it is,” Crystal says. “You know, people fall in love every day, and people fall out of love every day. This movie is an evergreen that way. It’s a beautiful thing.”
