Amika hails from Kolkata and has managed to pursue an exciting career in the music industry while completing her education from Calcutta University. Amika is currently enjoying her musical journey in Mumbai. Her deep, rich, and mesmerizing voice creates euphoria. Amika is a stunning performer who has performed and enthralled the audience all across the globe.
A Kolkata girl with a heart full of gratitude for Mumbai for accepting her and allowing her passion to make her profession. After completing schooling from Kolkata, she began her musical career when she held the learning threads of Hindustani Classical music at the age of 5. She credits her mother for the passionate gift of music. Once she understood that life is about doing something substantial and one has to be someone when they grow up, all she could think of was to become a singer and spread her music across the borders. It all started with her mother, a post-graduate in Hindustani Classical & a teacher by profession. And then being musically adopted by her Guruji, whom she entirely owes her musical aptitude. Guruji is responsible for her relentless holistic training ranging across dhrupad, dhamar, Tarana, khayal gayaki, bhajans, Rabindra sangeet. She believes that she had the biggest blessing in disguise of her family’s support. Her family’s support made her first stage performance possible at the age of 5.
She became a part of Little champs at the age of 9, the gang of young, talented singers puts together by the Music Director Bappi Lahiri, extremely talented singers Alka Yagnik & Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Shaan Da who was hosting the show provided advice that comes handy even now and helped her in becoming the performer on stage.
