Jimin’s Like Crazy
The first solo album by BTS member Jimin, FACE, was released on March 24. He controls the entire album with just his voice. The album contains the lead single “Like Crazy,” the pre-release tune “Let Me Free Pt.2,” and tracks in other genres like pop, hip-hop, and R&B.
The main track, “Like Crazy,” is in the synth pop genre and features a powerful drum beat and synth sound that his melancholy voice beautifully contrasts.
Talk about a FACE card that never declines,Today He released his debut solo album FACE and a music video for the song “Like Crazy,” which was partially influenced by the film of the same name. I imagine we could last forever and “What’s the point?” are whispered lines from the 2011 romance drama, which starred Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence.
I’d rather be lost in the lights, lost in the lights / I’m outta my mind, are just a few of the phrases He says while partying with his mullet. Walls are dissolving around him, and behind him there are enormous projections of couples kissing. The imagery is suitably surreal.
In addition to the pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt.2,” other songs on the album include “Interlude : Dive,” “Alone,” and an English version of “Like Crazy.” He and fellow BTS member RM are also credited as co-writers on the opening track, “Face-off.” The album drop was paired with a visit to Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, where He joked that his favorite nickname is Jimin Fallon and explained that his latest musical project “looks back on the emotions I felt chronologically throughout the pandemic.” Now, the ARMY just has to wait for The Tonight Show’s YouTube channel to set his performance free.
