Jahid was born on February 29, 1996 in Baku . At the age of 4 he moved with his family to Moscow . At the age of 6 he went to the 1925th gymnasium in Novokosino . In the first grade, he began to sing in the school choir and impressed his teachers with his vocals. And already in the ninth grade, the future singer realized that he wanted to seriously connect his life with music.
However, Jony’s father did not support his son’s decision, as he wanted him to follow in his footsteps and become a businessman. Therefore, after graduating from school, Jony entered the State University of Management at the Faculty of International Business. according to the artist himself, he studied there without much enthusiasm.
After graduating from the magistracy , Jony realized that he wanted to play music professionally and asked his father to give him a chance to try himself in this.
Even while studying at the university, Jony began recording various cover versions of popular songs and publishing them on his Instagram profile . Soon Elman Zeynalov ( El’man ) noticed the young singer. He invited Jony to his RAAVA Music team.
Jony started chipping away at his own tunes and sooner or later delivered five tunes – “Empty Glass”, “Friendzone”, “Star”, “Alley” and “I’m not me without you” (together with HammAli & Navai ). The video shot for the song “Alley” received more than 100 million views on Youtube and brought the artist fame outside the Internet .
In September 2019, Jony released the song “Comet” ,which soon topped the chart in Apple Music and became the singer’s “calling card”. In the same year, he became the winner in the Breakthrough of the Year nomination according to VKontakte and the BOOM music service.
In 2020, the album “Heavenly Roses” was delivered. Four compositions became the most successful: “You are merciless”, “The world has gone crazy”, “You bet” and “It rains outside the window”. Apple Music named his track “Comet” among the popular songs in Russia.
In 2021, he left RAAVA Music and decided to pursue a solo career .
He also won a prize (Best Artist Award) at New Radio Awards 2021, which brought together Azerbaijani and Russian pop stars.
In June, the singer has been named best in “Best Song” category at “MUZ-TV 20/21. World Beginning”. He won the prize for the song “Comet”.He was nominated in four categories “Best Singer”, “Best Male Video”, “Best Song” for the song “Comet”. The duo song with Emin “Fireplace” was presented in the nomination “Best Collaboration”.The singer has entered the Top 10 of most-streamed Russian performers in Spotify.
