Indian singer-songwriter Kaki, in collaboration with Korean rapper Taeb2, is back with her latest Music Video ‘My Girl,’ an anthem celebrating independent women who own their respect and hustle. Produced by Talentsofworld Production and released in July 2024, this artist duo uses a bright and upbeat song to artistically highlight the value of individuality and self-respect.
Speaking about the inspiration behind their new song, Kaki expresses, “With ‘My Girl’ I wanted to express all that I feel for women like me who strive for their goals but are constantly met with criticism and doubt about their potential. My goal was to celebrate and empower women's accomplishments and challenges. It's about motivating everyone to cherish their individual talents and never waver from their moral values in response to comments or opinions from others or just to fit in any standards society sets for us to uphold”.
"My Girl" was showcased at the live event ‘Melody of Hope,’ organised by Mahaveer Properties at Mahaveer Shanti Villas, Umarda. The music video is now being broadcast on 9XM TV, XMLOOPS TV, Vevo, Apple TV and many other major platforms. Featuring dynamic performance and choreography by the Slumz In Street Dance Crew, the event also included a striking light performance by Russian artist Roksana Devi (Roksana Bashkirova).
Kaki has a reputation for collaborating with artists from all around the world, proving once more that music transcends borders with contributions from artists representing three different countries in this song. Post-production work for this music video was handled by Kanan Tiwari from Talentsofworld, ensuring the highest quality presentation of the song.
