Lennon Stella, went viral in 2012 when she and her sister covered a Robyn song. The sisters who also stole the hearts of viewers when they sang a cover of The Lumineers song ‘Ho Hey’ in season one of the Nashville show, are now both continuing to pursue acting and music.
Early life
She was born on August 13,1999 in Ontario, Canada. At just 18 years old, Lennon Stella has already achieved immense success in her career. She began starring in the hit ABC TV series Nashville in 2012 as Maddie Conrad, alongside her real-life sister Maisy Stella, who plays Daphne Conrad. The series moved over to CMT (Country Music Television) for Season 5. Season 6 premiered January 2018 on CMT. Prior to acting in Nashville, Lennon had already gained national attention when her and Maisy’s cover of Robyn’s “Call your Girlfriend” went viral. The performance captured the hearts of millions worldwide and resulted in their first appearance on Good Morning America. Their YouTube channel has over 100 million views and nearly 800,000 subscribers.After several seasons of playing a talented young vocalist, reality started to mirror fiction as Lennon began writing songs for the show,
Solo career
In 2013, Lennon & Maisy performed a cover of the Lumineers‘ “Ho Hey” that was quickly released as a single and charted in both country and pop formats. Lennon & Maisy would go on to rack up greater single sales than any other Nashville cast members, and in the show’s fifth season, Lennonco-wrote four tunes featured on the series — “Saved,” “In Love,” “Clockwork,” and “Tennis Shoes.” In December 2016, Lennon duetted with Marc Scibilia for a seasonal single, a cover of John Lennon‘s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” while the following year, she teamed with Barns Courtney for another Yuletide track, “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”
She signed with a Columbia-distributed label, Records LLC, and dropped her first single, an acoustic version of her song “Like Everybody Else,” in August 2018. Her debut EP, Love, Me, followed later that year, and in 2020 she issued her long-awaited debut solo album, Three. Two. One., which had largely an electronic pop sound, rather than the country style on which she’d made her name.
