Lidija Bačić was born on 4 August 1985 in split , professionally known as Lille, is a Croatian pop singer and actress. Bačić rose to fame in 2005 after finishing as runner-up on the second season of Hrvatski Idol. Later in 2010, she released her debut album, Majčina ljubav.Bačić has collaborated with several musical artists, including Mladen Grdović, Alen Vitasović, and Luka Basi.
Early Life
She started singing at the age of 10, and had her first public performance at the Children’s Festival in 1997, where she won the first prizes of the jury and the audience with Mišo Limić’s song “Zaljubljeni dječak”. She soon joined the vocal-dance group “Perle” where she was the lead vocalist for 7 years, led by the esteemed Ingrid Flesch.
Career
In 2001, he performed with “Perla” on “Dora” with the song “Pokraj bistra izvora”, and in the same year at the most important Croatian festival of that time, “Melodije Hrvatskog Jadrana” with the song “Na kamenu”. In addition to three awards at Zagrebfest, in 2009 she won some other awards: Melodies of Mostar – award for the most successful debutante; Melodies of Istria and Kvarner – award for the best interpretation and for the best debutante for the song “Ne moren kontra sebe”; Sunny Scales – 2nd place and silver plaque. At Zagrebfest ’09 he won two more awards (award for the best interpretation and 3rd prize of the jury for the best composition for the song “Pogled”), and at MEF also two awards (1st prize of the jury and award for the best interpretation for the song “Zarobljeno time”). In total, it has won 11 awards at 6 festivals over a period of one year, which is an unprecedented success.
On 17 January 2019, Bačić was announced as one of the 16 participants in Dora 2019, the national contest in Croatia to select the country’s Eurovision Song Contest entry, where she, and the song “Tek je počelo”, finished in 11th place.
