‘Fighter’ Box Office Collection Day 12: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone Starrer Sees Another Drop, Minting Just Over Rs 3 Crore | – Times of India

Siddharth Anand‘s Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Fighter’ sees another drop at the domestic box office on day 12. The aviation thriller has just collected over Rs 3 crore.
According to a report in Sacnilk.com, ‘Fighter’ is likely to mint over Rs 178 crore in India within 12 days of its release. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film released in theatres on January 25.

The week one collection of the film was Rs 146.5 crore. On day 9 (second Friday), the film minted Rs 5.75 crore, and on day 10 (second Saturday), it earned Rs 10.5 crore. On day 11 (second Sunday), it accumulated Rs 12.5 crore. The film is expected to earn Rs 3.35 crore nett in India for all languages. So far, Fighter is likely to mint Rs 178.6 crore nett at the domestic box office.

In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Siddharth Anand discussed the box office performance of Fighter. He mentioned that Fighter represents a significant leap for filmmakers in the country, especially considering its unique genre. He acknowledged that the film explores uncharted territory and is entirely new, lacking a reference point for the audience. Siddharth Anand emphasized the challenge of presenting such a film to an audience, noting that a substantial percentage of the country, around 90%, has not experienced flying in planes or been to an airport.

In the movie, Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, while Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni. Anil Kapoor joins the cast as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, known as Rocky, as they unite in the fight for their country.
