He expressed satisfaction that people appreciated it, opting to let the ad speak for itself instead of reacting to the situation directly.He further remarked that while intentions might be sincere, the manner in which people choose to raise awareness for a cause can sometimes be misguided. He expressed feeling more uneasy and sympathetic than angry in such situations.

The 48-year-old actor believes that supporting a cause shouldn’t require justification, emphasizing the significant influence of social media in today’s world. He stressed that celebrities, given their large following, bear a greater responsibility and should utilize social media wisely to advocate for important causes.
Hashmi mentioned that he actively participated in supporting causes during the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that if he feels a genuine connection with the cause and the people involved in the advertisement, he readily agrees to be a part of it.
Sharib shared that his decision to participate in the cancer advertisement was deeply personal. He revealed that his wife is a survivor of oral cancer, having been diagnosed in 2018. Despite facing multiple relapses, she has been cancer-free since April 2022. Hashmi expressed gratitude for her strength and requested prayers for her well-being.
