Kalki Koechlin embraced motherhood for the first time when she welcomed her daughter Sappho with her boyfriend Guy Hershberg in February 2020. She recently opened up about her experiences of her motherhood journey.
On the occasion of her daughter’s 4th birthday, Kalki shared a glimpse of her pregnancy journey through a short snippet from her book The Elephant in The Womb.In the video post, Kalki was seen sharing her best and worst part of being pregnant.
Talking about the worst part, Kalki said, “Morning sickness is not morning sickness. It’s throughout the day sickness. You really need to fart a lot. In the first three months, I was shooting and working. After a while, you’re like, ‘I’m sorry guys, I just gotta fart.'”

Moving on the best part, Kalki replied, “Boobs were so so good. They were like big beautiful. You feel like goddess. You feel like you’re a life-giving goddess on the good days.”
Earlier in the day, Kalki shared a few memorable family moments on her daughter’s birthday. She posted pictures from their beach vacation and wrote, “Happy birthday my pirate mermaid monster.”
