Sushmita Sen spills the beans on the song ‘Chunnari Chunnari’ from ‘Biwi No. 1’ | – Times of India

Sushmita Sen is widely praised as one of the film industry’s most talented actresses. She has showcased her exceptional acting skills in popular movies like ‘Biwi No. 1‘ and ‘Main Hoon Na.’ One of her evergreen songs ‘Chunnari Chunnari‘ from ‘Biwi No. 1’ became a massive hit.
Sushmita Sen admitted in an interview with Pinkvilla that she initially didn’t like the song ‘Chunnari Chunnari’ from ‘Biwi No.1.’ She recalled, “When David brought that song to me, I was like, ‘What is this song?’ David is like, ‘It’s a hit song.’ I turned to Salman and said, ‘You think that’s a hit song?’ So Salman’s like, ‘Come, we will show you.’ So we got down to shoot this song, and by the time it was released that year, it was at every wedding. That’s a song that remains very special.”
Sushmita also disclosed that shooting for the track was challenging as Sen cladded a lehenga choli. The vocals were by Abhijeet and Anuradha Sriram, with music by Anu Malik and lyrics by Sameer.
Furthermore, Sushmita Sen won several awards for her role in ‘Biwi No. 1’.
Directed by David Dhawan, the film also starred Karisma Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Tabu, and others. ‘Biwi No. 1’ was released in theaters on May 28, 1999.
Meanwhile, Sushmita Sen, a highly sought-after actress in the entertainment industry, is presently promoting her upcoming series ‘Aarya 3 Part 2.’
