Zendaya steals the show at Dune: Part Two world premiere in futuristic haute couture robot suit- PICS | – Times of India

Zendaya sure knows how to make an entrance!
The actress had all eyes on her as she arrived at the star-studded ‘Dune: Part Two‘ world premiere in a risque futuristic robot suit. The 27-year-old, who plays the warrior Chani in the franchise, opposite Timothee Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides, commanded attention as she stepped up on the brown carpet at London’s Leicester Square.
For the big night, the leading lady stepped up in a piece of fashion history, donning a Thierry Mugler haute couture robot suit from his fall/winter 1995 collection. The silver suit with clear sections revealed a nude bodysuit underneath. The exposing panels ran up the back of her costume, including two that framed her derriere.

Shortly after her big appearance, fans took to social media to share their shock and awe. Sharing their favourite photos and videos of the actress, fans said, “Zendaya have some mercy!”

Besides fans and the media going gaga over her look, Zendaya’s boyfriend, Tom Holland, who was also at the screening, was seen standing on his tip-toes to catch a glimpse of her as she arrived at the event. According to reports, Tom arrived at the screening along with his family to support Zendaya.

As the photos of her first outfit from the back began to go viral, she swapped out her battle-ready armour for a classic black dress. Zendaya‘s gown had a simple silhouette, and she wore it with statement-making earrings and an emerald ring. She kept her hair and makeup the same.

The second instalment of the sci-fi epic, directed by Denis Villeneuve takes audiences back to Arrakis for his follow-up to 2021’s ‘Dune’, with Chalamet’s lead character Paul Atreides joining forces with Zendaya’s Chani and the Arrakis locals, called the Fremen, to seek revenge against those who killed his father.
Set in a future where noble families rule planetary fiefs, the franchise is based on author Frank Herbert’s highly acclaimed 1965 novel of the same name. It tackles politics, religion, the fight for precious resources and the environment.
‘Dune: Part Two’, whose release was pushed back from late last year because of the Hollywood actors strike, begins its global cinema roll-out on February 28.
