Bollywood Assistant Director Taken Away by Cops Over Verbal Outburst Against Rani Mukerji and Shanoo Sharma | – Times of India

Anurag Gopal Pandey, a former Assistant Director at Yash Raj Films (YRF), found himself embroiled in controversy following an altercation outside designer Manish Malhotra‘s store in the Khar area in Mumbai.
The former AD was reportedly taken away by cops following an outburst that saw him hurling abuses at actress Rani Mukerji and YRF’s casting director, Shanoo Sharma. In a video captured by Zoom, Pandey was seen engaging in a rather unruly manner as he abused the actress and members of the production house.

Eyewitnesses claimed that he even entered the store under the pretext of discussing a donation but resorted to making derogatory remarks and hurling verbal abuses.

The situation reached a boiling point, prompting police officers to intervene and eventually escort Pandey away from the scene.
It is still unclear what brought on this reaction from the AD.

Rumours are rife that Pandey’s outburst follows the termination of his contract with the film studio. He allegedly verbally abused coworkers and made vulgar, derogatory remarks on sets, prompting bosses to step in and fire him.
Over the year, he had contributed to films like Sarkar (2005), Kisna: The Warrior Poet (2005), Veer–Zaara (2004), and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).
