Rani Mukerji reveals she tried to have a second baby for seven years, talks about her miscarriage: ‘It’s traumatic that I can’t give sibling to my daughter’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Rani Mukerji tied the knot with Aditya Chopra in 2014 and they became parents to a baby girl in 2015. Rani has been so happy playing a doting mom to Adira but the actress recently revealed that she’s been through a traumatic time because she went through a miscarriage in 2020. Rani revealed in a recent interview that she’s tried to have a second baby for seven years!
The ‘Black’ actress opened up in an interview about the painful experience she went through. She told Galatta India, “I tried for my second baby for seven years. My daughter is 8 years old now. Immediately after her, I tried for my second baby. I kept trying. I finally got pregnant, and then I lost the baby. Obviously, it was a testing time for me.”
Rani further revealed that the most tragic part for her is that she cannot give a sibling to her daughter. “It’s not an age where I can have another baby. And it is traumatic for me that I can’t give a sibling to my daughter. That really pains me. But then I think that we really have to be always grateful for what we have and what we don’t. For me, Adira is my miracle child. And I’m really happy that I have her because I look at parents who are struggling to have even that one baby. So I feel I have to be grateful for what I have. It’s a saying, but to actually work on it and believe that you’ve to be grateful for what you have, it takes a lot of courage. To just be content with what you have. So I’m working on it. I’m telling myself that yes, Adira is enough,” said Rani.
Earlier, Rani had made this revelation to Business Today a while ago. But now, she’s opened up more on her feelings. Incidentally, Rani’s last film ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway‘, dealt strongly with a mother’s emotions but the actress said that she didn’t talk about her miscarriage at that point in time because people would have thought it’s some promotional strategy just to grab eye balls.
