Buzz is that Anurag will portray a negative role. Confirming the news about his Malayalam debut, the director posted the announcement video on his social media page and wrote, “Announcing my firstMalayalam film as an actor with Ashiq Abu. Looking forward to be part of the great moment of Malayalam cinema (sic).”
During the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), in December, Anurag, who was in attendance for the screening of his film Kennedy, had hinted at his Malayalam debut. The film, which is targeting an Onam release, will see Ashiq Abu donning the hat of cinematographer again.
