Kartik Aaryan recently mentioned that when he was starting his acting career, he had a car with a broken door. He shared that at that time, his goal was to buy some really nice cars.

Kartik Aaryan began his acting journey in 2011 with “Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” but it was in 2018 with “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” that he truly tasted success. In a recent interview, Kartik revealed that even after starring in several films, he didn’t own a car, and would travel to award shows in an autorickshaw.

He mentioned that when he finally could afford to buy a car, he chose an old one with a broken door. Kartik, soon to be seen in Chandu Champion, stated that this experience is why he enjoys purchasing cars.
During a chat with Neha Dhupia on the season finale on No Filter Neha Season 6, Kartik expressed that he “would not settle for something less” in his life. He said, “Before Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, there was a lull period where people didn’t know who I was. They didn’t know that I existed.” Kartik mentioned that after working as a leading actor for a few years, he felt it was time to improve his quality of life because he was encountering some difficulties.

“Like, I didn’t have a car to go to award functions. It used to feel like… yaar, I am taking a rickshaw. It was like this for the first 3-4 films,” he said and recalled his experience with a pre-used car. “Then I bought a third hand car, but the door of the driver’s side of that car was jammed, it wouldn’t open. I would drive that car. Now, the funniest thing used to be that when there was a valet, I would ask him to open the door of the passenger side, I would jump on the other seat and get out of the car, and then I would jump back in the same way,” he remembered with a laugh.
Kartik mentioned that even with all these challenges, he felt sure about the decisions he made. “I knew that I wanted to concentrate on that one film,” he said. Then Kartik laughed and said that this is why he still loves cars so much. “That is why I am fond of cars. That is why I buy so many cars. At one point, I had no vehicles so my mission was to buy all the cars. I thought I will make a garage which will have all the cars,” he said with a smile.

Recently, Kartik purchased a Range Rover SV worth Rs 6 crore. He also has a McLaren GT, Mini Cooper, BMW 5 Series, Lamborghini Urus Capsule, and more cars.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” where he starred alongside Kiara Advani. Besides “Chandu Champion,” he is set to appear alongside Tripti Dimrii in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.”
