Bobby Deol reclaimed his place in Bollywood with his performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga‘s ‘Animal’. His role, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, certainly grabbed the attention of the audience, and his hook steps in the song ‘Jamal Kudu’ from the film was an instant hit.
However, it looks like the dance moves from ‘Jamal Kudu’ were inspired by another film! A throwback video of legendary actress Rekha dancing for the 1988 film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ is now going viral on the internet.
The video, which appeared on a fan page of Rekha, has been doing the rounds on social media for quite some time now. The video is captioned, ‘1988 Jamal Kudu Dance Step done by REKHA.’

The video is a glimpse of the song ‘Sasu Ji Tune Meri Kadar Na Jani’ from ‘Biwi Ho Toh Aisi’. As soon as the video was shared on social media, comments flooded in from all directions. A fan wrote, “She done everything before it becomes trend(sic).

Though ‘Animal’ emerged as a blockbuster, the film received criticism for its celebration of toxic masculinity. ETimes rated the film 2.5 out of 5 and wrote, ‘Animal’ relies heavily on Ranbir Kapoor’s talent and stardom. His raw sex appeal and unmatched intensity are the film’s highlights. One of the finest actors of this generation, you find yourself trapped in his troubled mind as his blood-soaked eyes seethe with rage. Uninhibited, his ability to become the character he plays, shocks, stuns, and draws you in each frame. RK lends that dangerously unpredictable quality to this deranged character and aces it especially in that Vaastav-like crucial climax scene. He deserved a better script to match this level of performance. Ranbir Kapoor can be Joaquin Phoenix but Animal’s no Joker. This entire film could have just been a conversation between the father and his son.”
