Alia Bhatt’s deepfake video with her face morphed on Wamiqa Gabbi goes viral; netizens REACT | – Times of India

Alia Bhatt finds has found herself targeted by deepfake technology once more, joining a list of actresses like Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, and Kajol who have faced similar incidents in the recent past.
The latest morphed video circulating online features Alia’s face superimposed onto actress Wamiqa Gabbi‘s body. Interestingly, the original video was actually shared by Wamiqa on her Instagram account a few days ago.In the clip, the ‘Jubilee’ star was seen elegantly donning a red saree, which she chose for the screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series ‘Heeramandi‘, an event attended by Alia Bhatt.

As soon as the video started doing the rounds, comments poured in from all sides. While one user wrote, ‘Is this legal?? you’re using Alia’s face’, another one added, ‘This is the actual video of Wamiqa Gabbi. They replaced it with Alia’s face using AI’.

Alia Bhatt has unfortunately been targeted by deepfake technology before. Previously, a manipulated video surfaced showing a girl in a floral co-ord set sitting on a bed and mimicking Alia’s gestures and voice with surprising accuracy, replicating both her facial expressions and mannerisms.

Earlier, a digitally manipulated video featuring Rashmika Mandanna’s face superimposed onto a clip of British Indian influencer Zara Patel went viral. The ‘Animal’ actress responded to the deepfake, expressing her concerns about such deceptive practices.
