Deepika Padukone and her husband Ranveer Singh, were spotted for the first time this week, amidst rumours of an impending split. The star-couple was spotted by fans while returning home from a hush-hush getaway.
The actress, who is pregnant with her first child, was filmed on a ferry en route to the city. In a video shared online, Deepika could be seen hiding her baby bump behind an oversized cotton t-shirt dress while Ranveer stayed close, and followed in her lead.
On spotting the couple making their way to their car, a person began filming the duo. However, Deepika seemed to have noticed the person spying on her and secretly recording her and Ranveer as they headed to their car. Despite initially ignoring the person filming, the mommy-to-be appeared to get annoyed and spontaneously appeared to gently hit the camera before continuing on her way.

The clip has left many wondering whether it was a playful gesture or an expression of discomfort at being filmed. Fans of the couple were quick to step in and defend the pregnant star, asking fellow admirers to respect her privacy.
“Why are you posting it when we see that she doesn’t want it to be photographed,” one asked in the comments.

Unconfirmed reports claimed that the couple was on a quiet babymoon in Alibaugh where they purchased a plush sea-facing pad.

The move soon sent social media into a frenzy, prompting speculation of an impending divorce announcement.
