Sae-ron previously turned the comments off on her Instagram account. She’s received an unknown amount of likes on the post. Her account has more than 3 million Instagram followers.

Fans Reacted to Kim Sae-ron’s Death on Reddit
Generally speaking, if a celebrity or other well-known figure dies, their Instagram account tends to become a place for condolences. In Sae-ron’s case, fans were unable to leave messages because her comments are shut off.
Someone did start a Reddit thread about Sae-ron’s death, however, and more than 500 comments have amassed in just three hours.
“Damn, I thought she was amazing in « Man from nowhere » and was sure she would go on to have a fantastic career. I only ever saw her in one other movie so this comes as a shock. Korean society is ruthless,” one person wrote.
“I remember when she was booted from Bloodhounds for drink driving and crashing her car. She was working in a bar desperately trying to pay back the damage. Couldn’t get any work as an actress. Shunned and shamed,” someone else said, adding, “Sad that she took this route. She should have just got out of South Korea.”
“That’s sad to hear. She was excellent in the underrated movie ‘A Girl at My Door.’ May she rest in peace,” a third comment read.
Kim Sae-ron Got a DUI in May 2022 & it Tarnished Her Reputation
In May 2022, Sae-ron was in an accident in Seoul’s Gangnam District. According to Variety, she had been driving under the influence. The accident resulted in property damage and Sae-ron had to pay a fine.
The incident caused her to fall victim to cancel culture, which was hard on her both personally and professionally. In the time that followed, Sae-ron planned her return to show business. However, much of her role in “Bloodhounds” (released by Netflix in 2023) ended up being edited out following her DUI, according to Variety.
The report also indicates that Sae-ron was set to appear in “Dongchimi” in 2024, but backed out of the project. According to her IMDb page, Sae-ron’s last screen appearance was on “Bloodhounds.” She may or may not have also worked on “Metal Revolver Juvenile Incident,” a television movie that is listed in post-production.
