Paris Jackson Engaged

Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Is Engaged

Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has announced her engagement to her bandmate, Justin Long, marking a joyous milestone in her life. The 26-year-old singer and activist shared the news on her Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt tribute to her partner of two years.

Justin, her fiancé, has also been deeply rooted in music from a young age. In a 2020 interview on the Secret Sonics podcast, he shared that his musical journey began with piano lessons before he transitioned to music production. He is a studio manager for Barefoot Recording working with 5 Seconds of Summer, Grace Potter, and The Wombats to name a few. Their shared passion has become a cornerstone of their relationship, blending creativity and collaboration in both their personal and professional lives.

The Engagement Post

“Happy birthday my sweet blue,” Paris began in her December 6 post. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”

The announcement was paired with a carousel of photos capturing the couple’s journey, from playful photobooth snapshots to glimpses of their Halloween costumes, depicting medieval, dragon-inspired attire. Paris included an image of the proposal itself, set against the grandeur of a chandelier-lit hall. Dressed casually yet stylishly in jean shorts, a cream sweater, and knee-high boots, Paris beamed as Justin knelt on one knee, marking the beginning of their next chapter together.

Growing Up as a Jackson

Despite growing up in the spotlight, Paris and her siblings—Prince Jackson, 27, and Bigi Jackson, 21—have largely maintained a private life following their father’s passing. Paris has often reflected on the unique challenges and bonds of their upbringing, emphasizing the close-knit relationship she shares with Prince, describing them as being “raised like twins.”

Paris has also candidly navigated public expectations regarding her father’s legacy. In an August 2023 Instagram video, she addressed criticism for her approach to honoring Michael Jackson’s birthday, revealing her father’s aversion to birthday celebrations.

“He actually didn’t want us to even know when his birthday was because he didn’t want us to throw a party or anything like that,” Paris explained. Yet, she expressed frustration over fans who misjudge her relationship with her father based on her social media activity, urging people to refrain from using his memory to “abuse, manipulate, and harass his daughter.”
