In 2008, Monatyk reached the finals during the auditions for the show "Фабрика зірок – 2" (Star Academy). Though he didn't become a part of the project, his talent was recognized. Singer Natalia Mohylevska played a pivotal role in his career by inviting him to work on her ballet during her concert program 'Real O.' This collaboration marked a turning point in his career, leading him to move to Kyiv.

In the same year, he formed his first music group, 'Monatique,' which delved into the funk and soul genres. The group performed live in Lutsk and made an impact on the local music scene.
