Iman Chakraborty
Iman Chakraborty is an Indian vocalist. Chakraborty won the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in the year 2017 for her Bengali melody “Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho” from Praktan film. Appropriately, She is one of only a handful of exceptional artists who have won a public honor for the introduction film melody in India.
Iman was brought into the world in the town Liluah of the Howrah region of the West Bengal territory of India. During her growing up days she gained music from her late mother Trishna Chakraborty and got leaned towards artistic works of Rabindranath Tagore.
Her first break came when she moved toward Indian record name organization Saregama, which chose to create her first collection ‘Bosh te dio kachhe’ in Bengali language. The collection comprised of versions of a couple of melodies by Tagore. The collection got the eyes of arranger Anupam Roy, who needed to explore different avenues regarding a new voice, with new vocal and apparent characteristics, for his creation. She along these lines sang Roy’s Bengali film tune organization “Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho” which was her introduction film melody. The tune procured her the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
In December 2018, she delivered the melody “Monn”, the title tune of the Tollywood collection Monn. It was a two part harmony with vocalist Sarbajit Ghosh, who is additionally the music chief, writer, lyricist and maker of the tune.
