Gayatri Asokan

Gayatri Asokan is a playback vocalist who works fundamentally in Malayalam film. She began her playback vocation with the melody “Deena Dayalo Rama” for the movie Arayannagalude Veedu under music chief Raveendran. “Enthe Nee Kanna” for Sasneham Sumitra won her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer in 2003. Vocation
Gayatri was first prepared in Carnatic music by Sri Mangat Natesan and Sri Vamanan Namboodiri at Trichur. Later she began preparing in Hindustani music under Dr. Alka Deo Marulkar in Pune and later under Pandit Vinayaka Torvi in Bangalore.

She is likewise a Hindustani traditional music vocalist, a Bhajan artist and has given Hindustani shows and projects in view of film melodies abroad. She has sung 500 film tunes and has likewise sung and given music for another collection for the Art of Living establishment which was delivered in September 2006 by HMV around the world. Individual life
Gayatri Asokan is the little girl of Dr. P. U. Asokan and Dr. K. S. Sunidhy. Gayathri was hitched to Dr.Sayij on 4 January 2005, yet the couple later separated. She is a functioning member in Art of Living’s Satsangs everywhere. She is hitched to Sitar player Purbayan Chatterjee.
