Lathika

Lathika (Malayalam: ലതിക) is an Indian playback vocalist whose voice held influence over the music graphs in the last part of the 1980s-mid 1990s in the Malayalam entertainment world. She has loaned her voice predominantly for Malayalam and Tamil film tunes for north of 300 movies. A portion of her hit tunes of that time are ‘Kathodu Kathoram… ‘ and ‘Devadoothar Padi… ‘(Kathodu Kathoram), ‘Crap Venam Pooppada Venam…’ (Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam), and ‘Tharum Thalirum…’ (Chilambu).

Career

Lathika appeared at 16 years old with the scene “Pushpathalpathin..” made by Kannur Rajan for I. V. Sasi’s ‘Abhinandam’ (1976). She sang the two part harmony with K. J. Currently she is serving as lecturer in music at the Swathi Thirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram. She has been promoted as Asst. Professor and serving the same college.
