Reewa Rathod

Reewa Rathod is an Indian vocalist, musician, piano player, and performing craftsman. She is most popular for her tunes Maula (One Above) and Saaya Tere Ishq Ka. She won the Mirchi Music Grant for Best Free Melody of The Year 2019 for her introduction single Maula (One Over) 2018.

Early life and education

Reewa Rathod was brought into the world in Mumbai to artists Roop Kumar Rathod and Sunali Rathod. At four years old, she sang the Meera bhajan Payoji Maine Slam Ratan Dhan Payo at the Tejpal Lobby in Mumbai. Her granddad, the Late Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod, was a notable Dhrupad Dhamar performer of the Aditya Gharana of Jamnagar. Her fatherly uncles Shravan Rathod and Vinod Rathod are notable music authors and vocalists in the Indian entertainment world. Reewa began gaining music from her dad Roop Kumar Rathod preparing in Hindustani, Carnatic and Western Old style. She concentrated on piano under of Ms.Shanti Seldon and has passed every one of the 8 grades of Western traditional piano from the Related Leading group Of the Imperial Schools of Music London. She has concentrated on Carnatic Traditional from the Smt. BalaMani Aiyyar and Smt.Prasanna Champion. She is presently concentrating under Padma Bhushan Pandits Rajan and Sajan Mishra of Benaras Gharana.

Career

Reewa’s most memorable public exhibition was at the at age of 4 years at Tejpal Amphitheater Mumbai for her Granddad Late Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod’s first Passing Commemoration. Her most memorable public presentation as a craftsman came as the initial represent a Bryan Adams show in 2011 in Pune, where she sang “Crossing Limits”, a self-wrote melody. She performed at the Doon School’s Rose Bowl in 2012 and Saptrang in 2014. She was granted Sur Jytosna Public Music Grant. Reewa’s tune “Enroute Ganesha” was chosen for the twentieth year accumulation of ‘Budhha-Bar’. She has recorded a few tracks with Dj Ravin (Buddha Bar) and is perhaps the earliest Indian craftsman to get her works distributed under the parlor music mark Buddha Bar Paris. She created and recorded Tandaana for the Spanish film Rastres De Shoe (Hints of Sandalwood) featuring Nandita Das and Aina Clotet. Reewa’s presentation single “Maula (One Over)” (2018) has outperformed north of 2 million perspectives on YouTube and has won the Pepsi Mirchi music grant for Best Autonomous Tune of The Year in 2019.

“Saanwal”, the primary track of her venture “Travel with Bosses” was delivered on 17 January 2019, created by Ustad Zakir Hussain and Michael Mennart, highlighting saxophonist Chris Potter. The tune mixed Indian Society and Spanish sound together. In 2020 she delivered her presentation collection Saaya Tere Ishq Ka which was made by Reewa with verses by Gulzar. The title track “Maula (One Above)” was blended and dominated by Brian Malouf. Reewa has performed “Jasmine Blossom” in Chinese, for Yue-sai Kan’s live-streaming cause design occasion 2020, close by Kenny G, Lang and three other noticeable craftsmen in the UK, Norway and France.
