Biography
Tom Andrews has had some fantastic experiences in the world of music since finding his voice at just 13. He has progressed from competing in small local competitions through to writing and rubbing shoulders with some of the industries greatest.
Although born just outside London, Tom has spent much of his life in the West Country of UK, where he has been blessed to grow up next to beautiful beaches and countryside. He soon realised that to follow his dream he had to travel to find an opportunity, in doing so he has worked in London, New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, and Bali, writing with producers from across the world. Tom now resides back in London and has his sights firmly set on the future.
Growing up in a non-musical family, he was always influenced by the sound of soul and Motown. Years later he found a love for names such as Queen, George Michael, The Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, Madonna, Dance and EDM, many of who greatly influence his sound today. Tom penned his first song at aged 14 in Scotland with Greg Friel, called “Running in Circles”. They went on to write together several times, with one of their songs being chosen by Ellen DeGeneres. Tom was asked to fly to the US and perform the track live on her show. Tom went on to sign to Ellen’s label 1111, and spent two years writing his album with a variety of credible writers and producers such as Toby Gad, Jorgen Elofsson, RedOne, Fraser T Smith, Julie Frost, and Arnthor Birgisson. It soon became apparent that he had an innate love and talent for writing as well as performing.
Over the years Tom has built up an impressive army of “TomAhawks” across Twitter, Youtube and Facebook, and maintains a close relationship with his fans who have stuck by him through thick and thin.
Tom is back in the studio working on new material and is very eager to get back out on the road doing what he does best, performing!
