Vijay‘s action entertainer ‘Greatest of All Time‘ was released in theatres on September 5 and the movie in 14 days has grossed more than Rs 450 crore worldwide. It has become the highest grossing Tamil film of 2024 and the movie is just Rs 100 crore away from becoming the highest grosser of Vijay’s ‘Leo‘.
The film on Thursday, only made Rs 3 crore at the box office, marking the lowest ever collection ever since the release.The film is expected to pick up pace during the third weekend as there are no other big releases the coming week.
‘GOAT‘ has been performing well in Tamil and the movie did not do as expected in Telugu and Hindi and Sacnilk report stated that the major contribution of 59% is only from Tamil version of the film.
‘GOAT’ stars Vijay, Sneha, Prashanth, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Ajmal, Parvathi Nair, Mohan, Jayaram and Vaibhav among others and the music for it is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. On the work front, Vijay has signed up for his next ‘Thalapathy 69‘ with H Vinoth and the music for it will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The upcoming film is set for its release in October 2025 and it marks the last film of Vijay in his acting career.
