The Gundecha Siblings are Indian traditional artists of the dhrupad type of the Dagar vani. From 1985 to 2019 the team comprised of siblings Umakant Gundecha and Ramakant Gundecha and were granted the Padma Shri for workmanship for 2012. Following the demise of Ramakant Gundecha in 2019, his child Anant started to perform with Umakant in the Gundecha bandhu.
Early life and background
They learned at the neighborhood Madhav Music School. Umakant has a post-advanced education in music and financial matters and the more youthful Ramakant in music and business. They moved to Bhopal in 1981 for preparing in Dhrupad music under Zia Fariduddin Dagar and his sibling Zia Mohiuddin Dagar.
