Brighton-based singer-songwriter Passenger, aka Michael Rosenberg, will make his India debut this November, performing in three cities as part of his Asia tour.
Passenger, who had a breakout hit single in 2012 with the tender song “Let Her Go” from his album All The Little Lights, will perform in Delhi-NCR on Nov. 19 at DLF CyberHub, followed by shows in Mumbai on Nov. 21 at Phoenix Marketcity Kurla and close with a set in Bengaluru on Nov. 22 at Phoenix Marketcity, marking his first ever performances in India. Tickets will go on sale on June 17, 2025 from 10 am IST on BookMyShow.
Originally started as a five-member band, Rosenberg retained Passenger as a moniker in 2009, moving to Australia and releasing the act’s album Flight of the Crow in 2010. Passenger was a few albums in when “Let Her Go” took off, earning him a Brit Awards nomination in 2014. In the time since, Passenger released several more albums at a prolific rate, with nine more albums under their belt. Hit singles that followed include “Anywhere,” “Simple Song,” “Sword from the Stone” and “Heart’s on Fire.” His most recent album came in 2022, called Birds That Flew and Ships That Sailed.
“Let Her Go” continues to have its own place in music history, marking a key moment in the popularity of singer-songwriters around the world. It currently has over 2.5 billion streams on Spotify, 3.8 billion views on YouTube and even spawned a recreation with fellow Brit singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran in 2023.
Passenger’s India tour has been a long time coming, given his popularity in the country. According to stats from 2023 shared by the artist’s publicity team, India is among the top eight global markets for Passengers.
BookMyShow Live Events’ chief business officer Naman Pugalia said in a statement, “Passenger’s music holds a rare emotional weight, one that is quiet, introspective and deeply resonant. For many fans in India, his songs have been the soundtrack to personal moments, quietly weaving their way into everyday life. Bringing him to India for the very first time across three cities is incredibly special for us at BookMyShow Live. We’ve always believed in curating experiences that are as meaningful as they are memorable, and this tour is exactly that: intimate, honest and led entirely by the music.”
