Wlady – an Italian disc jockey and record producer.

Wlady

The younger brother of DJ Jad, member of Article 31, he took his first steps in the world of music in 1990 by participating in the Italian DJ competition at the Aquafan in Riccione, in 1992 he participated in the Italian DMC championships at the Picchio Rosso in Bologna. A few months later he was noticed by the producer Joe T Vannelli, with whom he collaborated both as a composer and with the recording of several scratches in the albums Original Groove – Vol. 1 and Overnite EP Volume 1 . Together with his brother Vito Luca and thanks to his skill in the scratch technique, he participates in the recordings of Article 31 with several scratch recordings, present in the albums Strade di città, Messa di spirit, As it is, Nobody, Xché yes !. He also participates as a disc jockey, entertainer and vocalist on the As is Tour for Article 31

In 2000 he created the group The Individuals together with his producer friend Alessandro Viale, producing the single I Don’t Wanna Be Loved in the same year, in 2001 he signed the single Ferry a Cross the Mercy followed by the video clip shot in Liverpool. The single is used as the theme song for the television program Le Iene on Italia 1 and then is included in the Le Iene compilation. In 2003 he produced the single Take a Ride, the single was selected in 2004 by Electronic Arts as the official theme of the game Fifa 2004 [6], and in 2010 as the soundtrack of the film Cani & cats – Kitty’s Revenge

In 2014 he collaborated with J-Ax on the realization of his new album Il bello d’esser brutti which was released on January 27, 2015.

The third single from the album is Maria Salvador, composed in collaboration with Il Cile and produced by Wlady & Ds. The song reaches the second position in the best-selling singles of the week, it earns 6 platinum and 12 gold discs Selling over 420,000 Copies and exceeding 170,390,706 million views on YouTube. On August 5, 2015, a remix of the song was published for digital download, edited by Molella, and by Wlady himself.

In 2016 Wlady received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dance Music Awards.

Also in 2010 Take a Ride is used as a soundtrack for Valero Texas Open – PGA Tour.

In 2014 he collaborated with J-Ax on the realization of his new album Il bello d’esser brutti which was released on January 27, 2015.

In 2017 Wlady is the official remixer of Occionali’s Karma by Francesco Gabbani, the winner of the Sanremo Festival 2018 and, together with T.N.Y., Lento / Veloce by Tiziano Ferro.

In 2018, to celebrate J-Ax’s 25-year career at the Fabrique in Milan, 5 Article 31 concert dates are announced, which then became 10 and all sold out, recording a turnout of 31,500 people for this series of concerts. For the occasion J-Ax revealed that the Reunion was possible thanks to Wlady who managed to bring together DJ Jad and J-Ax, thus sanctioning the official return of Article 31. and Wlady himself on stage together with J-Ax and Chile with his Maria Salvador.

In the second half of 2001, he participated as an actor in the film Without filter produced by Medusa Film, in the role of Moses later in 2012 he participated as a leading actor in the film “The last weekend” produced by Rai Cinema as Rudy.
